I like to think that guiding is an art form! It involves beauty, natural inclination and passion. Sharing knowledge is important but it is not enough. I was born in Zurich-Switzerland but Verona really captured my soul! I have been living there for the past 30 years. I am a ToursByLocals guide since 2012. I have always had an interest in Architecture and Art, eventually I decided to study foreign literature and languages During those very formative years I had the privilege of travelling, meeting wonderful people and staying in very different places: Switzerland, France, Morocco and Singapore. On this complete Verona walking tour we pass by Juliet's house and if you wish we see her legendary balcony to discover that love, passion, sacrifice, courage, tenderness, dedication are timeless emotions. We see also Romeo's house and Prince Escalo's burial place. We enjoy colors and sounds of the piazza Erbe, where Medieval towers and ancient palazzi with frescoes and statues overlooking an everyday market. Beside it, piazza dei Signori is instead quiet, elegant and has a charme of its own. We won't miss Castelvecchio: a very special castle where Medieval history, contemporary architecture and the riverside scenery wonderfully mix together. And, last but not least, the incredible Arena: the best preserved amphitheater of the Roman Empire, place of cruel gladiator fights in the past and, nowadays, the largest Opera stage. . . in the world!

It was such a pleasant trip to Verona. We love the architecture, the vibe and the bakeries! Lorella is knowleageable and detailed in explaining to us the history and logistics arrangements. She communicates well and clear too.
This tour commenced from the Piazza Bra adjacent to the Arena. Lorella provided some history to the city before we commenced. We then walked at a leisurely pace through the inner city streets, across the historic Ponte di Castelvecchio and Ponte Garibaldi over the Adige River, explored busy piazzas such as Piazza Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, and bustling streets including Via Cappello, Via Sottoriva and the Corso Sant’Anastasia. Lorella provided interesting commentary and insights into this beautiful city and took us to many delightful places that we had not seen before. She also provided recommendations for shopping and meals and other tips to avoid the worst of the crowds. We very much enjoyed Lorella’s obvious passion about Verona and would recommend her tour to others interested in Verona’s position in Italian history and culture.

Starting from April 2026, the admission fee to visit Juliet’s Courtyard and Balcony is €5 per person. This is a walking tour. Verona is flat and very easy city to walk through. By the way, I can arrange transportation if you wish to do the tour in a a more comfortable way or if you have mobility issues, just let me know.
