Deborah oriented us to the city’s fascinating history and her knowledge of architecture and art was invaluable. She responded to our questions with detailed and and fascinating stories. Special highlights for us were the Via Sottoriva, the Ponte Pietra and Ponte di Castelvecchio, and the Chiostro dei Canonici. Bound as we were that evening for the opera, the background that she provided on Verdi and his artistic life was a welcome addition. Deborah showed us her favorite spots, we learned some history but not overwhelming, paced just as we wanted and enjoyed a caffe when we needed a break.
