I am a qualified tour guide with over 12 years' experience in the tourism industry. I have been guiding for private walking tours for a number of years! I have a degree in European Studies and German from Ireland's most prestigious university, Trinity College Dublin and I am particularly interested in the history, politics, literature, art, and architecture of Dublin. For me a good tour guide should lay the groundwork for a positive and interesting experience of a city for visitors. I structure my tours in an informal way so that you get to see Dublin through local eyes: I'll give you a good introduction to the history and culture of Dublin, as well as give you restaurant and shopping tips. As a mum with three kids I'll also give you an insight into the life of a typical Dublin family! I hold the 'Dublin City and Environs' tour guide badge and I am listed on the Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority) Directory of Industry qualified guides. I am also a member of the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI), a professional organisation of tour guides in Ireland. I have a degree in European Studies and German from Trinity College Dublin and I have a Masters in Translation Studies from Dublin City University (DCU). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.
