I am a qualified tour guide with over 12 years' experience in the tourism industry. I have been guiding for private walking tours for a number of years! I have a degree in European Studies and German from Ireland's most prestigious university, Trinity College Dublin and I am particularly interested in the history, politics, literature, art, and architecture of Dublin. For me a good tour guide should lay the groundwork for a positive and interesting experience of a city for visitors. I structure my tours in an informal way so that you get to see Dublin through local eyes: I'll give you a good introduction to the history and culture of Dublin, as well as give you restaurant and shopping tips. As a mum with three kids I'll also give you an insight into the life of a typical Dublin family! I hold the 'Dublin City and Environs' tour guide badge and I am listed on the Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority) Directory of Industry qualified guides. I am also a member of the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI), a professional organisation of tour guides in Ireland. I have a degree in European Studies and German from Trinity College Dublin and I have a Masters in Translation Studies from Dublin City University (DCU). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

This is a walking tour. However there are buses and commuter train stops within the vecinity of our route if you wish to take public transportation at any stage. There are commuter trains (the Dart is the name of the train service) about every 15 minutes from Dalkey to Dun Laoghaire and the journey takes approximately 10 minutes to go one way.
