Such an incredible area. The views of the Andes while ascending to base camp were awesome and our guide oriented us to distant mountains and regions. He was very patient with us, as the latitude allowed for shirt bursts of walking and lots of recovery. But we made it!! Along the way to the National Park we stopped a few times. We had a wonderful day with Juan Pablo, he was great with my kids and we all learned a lot, including practicing our Spanish. We were very lucky to have good weather and he was very accommodating to our needs. Next time we are in Quito we will definitely be touring with him again.
