Hola! My name is Lola, one of the most truly Spanish names, and so am I, totally Spanish. I was raised in Madrid, and I discovered the magic of this city since I was a child. Some of my first memories took place in Madrid, I remember to walk in the Retiro Park and think that The Glass Palace was a fairy palace. To visit the Prado Museum with my parents when I was the same age than the little princess of Las Meninas. There has been always something exciting in Madrid for me. When I grow up, I discovered many other countries and cities travelling around the world, but MY FIRST TRUE LOVE WAS MADRID. Later, when I went to the university, I decided to study what I really liked the most, History, and I did my specialization in Art History. I was also studying a Postgraduate in History abroad, in the University of Nottingham, England, that was one of the best experiences of my life. After finishing my degree, I started to work as a Tour Director all over the world. I spent 20 years travelling and working in many countries of Europe, Asia and USA, learning other cultures, and having exciting experiences, but … I was missing my hometown; I was missing Madrid. So, I decided to start working as a local guide in Madrid and make people like you, dear traveler, to discover the city through my eyes. I am a passionate storyteller and I love to inform and entertain always with historical rigor. My humanities background and my passion for history an art enable me to communicate information in a very inspiring way. My desire is to pass all this to you so you can have the greatest trip ever. Overview of your Madrid tour
Toledo is expecting you, so very close to Madrid, connected by high-speed train on a journey of around half an hour, so I invite you to join me for a visit to this marvelous city. Its historic quarter a UNESCO World Heritage Sites- still preserves its original medieval layout. Did you know that Toledo is known as "the city of three cultures"? It's a place where the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam "coexisted" for many centuries. We will do a time travel to the Middle Ages and discover the historical highlights and during our walk of Toledo, you will be amazed by its medieval architecture, from Cathedral, synagogues, mosques, and many, many more incredible buildings to be seen. I will take you to my favorite places through Toledo's labyrinth streets and you will see how the city has arrived almost intact to our days. One of the best things you can do in Toledo is to get lost on purpose in its narrow streets. Let's do it!

Lola was great! Checked in with us a few days before the tour to get our info so she could purchase the train tickets. Arrived at the hotel right on time and off we went. Gave us a wonderful tour of Toledo and joined us for lunch at a cute restaurant. She was very informative about this beautiful walled city. When in Madrid take one of her tours.

- When we arrive, we can take a taxi to do a small city tour just to take the best panoramic picture from a look at point of Toledo. It is one of the most famous views of Spain! - Remember to wear comfortable shoes for our walking tour. - Toledo offers you different options of monuments to visit depending on your interests. I will suggest you to visit with me: - The Cathedral, one to the three 13th century High Gothic cathedrals of Spain (on Sunday does not open till 2 PM) - The Jewish Quarter with the Synagogue of Santa María La Blanca (the oldest of Spain) - St. Tomé Church to see "The Burial of Lord Orgaz", El Greco's masterpiece. You will have free time for lunch and buying souvenirs before coming back to Madrid by high-speed train.
