I am also one of the well traveled guides, both in my country and abroad, as I love travelling, meeting new people, and going on new adventures. I am also deeply in love with my beautiful country, its culture, and its people, for whom I decided to settle, explore, and share with those interested.
I might only have 3 years of experience, but I can assure you that they have been very lively, filled with adventure, and life. In the 3 years that I have been a guide, I have successfully accompanied and led guests of all ages, nationalities, and group sizes. I have also been able to surpass their keen expectations and quench their interests, every time, by offering authentic, local, memorable, and safe experiences, throughout my country. I put in all the life in me, to ensure that all of my guests, who put in the effort of visiting my beautiful country, have the most pleasant stay and get rewarded with an experience that will last long after they have left Morocco. This, my mission in life, is what I take away from doing what I love, and I love what I do.
I have also been blessed to have lived an eventful and generous life in Tangiers, my native city. In Tangiers, I attended the American School of Tangiers, the oldest American school in Morocco and Africa, and graduated with an American High School Diploma. Over the years, my thirst for knowledge saw me move to Barcelona, Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and back to Tangiers.
Tangiers, of all the places I visited, and after all the countless journeys, remains one of the most unique cities in the world. "The Door to Africa" for Europeans and "The Door to Europe" for Africans, Tangiers is, and has always been, a nexus of Arab, African, and European cultures, traditions, history, and much more. Located 9 miles from mainland Europe, at the western edge of the Mediterranean, at the most northerly tip of Africa, Tangiers is one of the most strategically located settlements in the world. So much so that the Romans named it capital to their North African colony of Mauritania Tingitania, the cartographer Magellan placed it at the center of his maritime map, and political world made it an International City in 1923. This is but a taste to what preceded and proceeded to happen in Tangiers.
As your guide, I will introduce you to Tangiers, share its historical past with you, and engage you with local anecdotes, before I lead you into a local and an authentic Moroccan experience filled with color, taste, and rythm. As your guide, I will uncover the hidden treasures of Tangier's past, point out the current developments, and help depict a picture of what all of this means for the future of Tangiers.
I will give your journey meaning and stir it up with sudden sparks of excitement, laughter, and enjoyment. As your guide, I am fully determined to make your visit as memorable and comfortable as possible, with a program and itinerary that are fully adjustable to your interests, energy, and comfort.
I am fit, filled with energy, and determined to walk you through the paths of the past through the eyes of Paul Bowles, Yves Saint Laurent, Tennesse Williams, Barbara Hutton, Malcolm Forbes, Henri Matisse, Claudio Bravo, Walter Harris, and countless visitors who intended to visit Tangiers on a day trip and settled for ever!
