To me, Berlin is: modern German politics, city planning, Prussian kings and emperors, avantgarde arts and cultures, multiethnic life, dreamy lakeshores, a great amount of freedom. . . but mostly, of course, it's the 20th century history which counts here!
The two big tales of the 20th century were Berlin-made - one of deepest misery and one of highest joy - Hitler's Third Reich and the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It was the fascination of Berlin soon after the fall of the Wall that made me turn Berlin into my profession.
I offer comprehensive and knowledgeable services, always adopting to my guests's interests and wishes.
All my tours can be taken either with minivan, bus, or walking/taxi/public transport. All tours in English, Spanish or German.
I also work as tour and travel guide in Germany, Czech Republic, and Crakow/Auschwitz.
A Recent Review of this guide
Janna took us on a journey through time as we plunged into the rich history of Sanssouci, Frederick the Great's summer residence. She guided us through the opulent gardens and surrounding vineyards, passageways, lakeside vistas, terraces and beautiful landscape of this Prussian gem. Jana's grasp of the interrelationships and complex struggles between the royal leaders of this era was a prelude to the historical sights that comprise Potsdam, with our day ending with a visit the Potsdam Conference site.
