Berlin is: modern German politics, national socialist and socialist past, the scar of the Wall, city planning, Prussian kings and emperors, avantgarde arts and cultures, multiethnic life, dreamy lakeshores, a great amount of freedom, and so much more. . . but mostly, of course, it's the 20th century history which counts here!
The two big tales of the 20th century were Berlin-made - one of deepest misery and one of highest joy - Hitler's Third Reich and the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It was the fascination of Berlin soon after the fall of the Wall that made me turn Berlin into my profession.
I offer comprehensive and knowledgeable services, always according to my guest's interests and wishes, for visitors in and around Berlin.
All my tours can be taken either with minivan, bus, or walking/taxi/public transport.
I also offer serving as your travel guide in East Germany, e. g. to Dresden, Leipzig, or the Hanseatic Towns on the Baltic Coast as Greifswald, Stralsund, the islands Ruegen and Usedom, also traveling to Prague.
A Recent Review of this guide
Janna was a fantastic guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and friendly. She arranged for an excellent driver, Kie, to meet us at the ship and drive us the 3 hours to meet her in Berlin. It was a very comfortable Mercedes van and the four of us had plenty of room. Janna met us in Berlin and took us on a great walking and driving tour, tailored to our requests. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Janna.
