My name is Kerstin and as a lifelong Berliner I have witnessed the Fall of the Wall and the reunification of Germany. I would feel happy to share with you this historical experience. Grown up and raised in former East Berlin I offer you my first-hand impressions about East and West joining each other. The dramatic changes 30 years ago meant a great chance to develop my passion for art and history in freedom. This fascinating tour takes you to the places which lay at the heart of the Third Reich, including the spot where Hitler took his life in the most bizarre circumstances. Discover the remains of the so-called "Thousand-Year Reich" and see Goering's Air Defence Ministry, as well as the site of Goebbels' Propaganda Ministry and the ruins of Himmler's SS and Gestapo HQ at the 'Topography of Terror' exhibition. I will explain the circumstances why the Wall was built and how life developed in the divided city in the times of Cold War. I am happy sharing my personal experience with you. This is a very informative and educational journey into the recent past!
We had a wonderful tour with Kerstin. She was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of accommodating my wife's mobility issues. She adjusted the tour and arranged to give her in-depth narrations in shady places where we could sit and listen. The tour was fun and informative.
Kerstin was great. She met us at our hotel earlier to provide some planning time. Her knowledge of history was excellent and brought it to life with some personal anecdotes of living in East Berlin during the Cold War. She pitched her commentary at the level relevant to our understanding and answered our many questions without a problem. She brought photos and maps to help explain the information she provided. We had Avery enjoyable and informative tour. I definitely recommend Kerstin.

I have an interest in Cold War history, and I wished to visit a number of sites related to this era. And I hoped to not only see these places up close, I wanted to do so with someone had personal knowledge of the times. I provided Kerstin a list of my priorities, she added to it, and made an outstanding two-day itinerary that exceeded our expectations. The background and insights Kerstin provided were very helpful in understanding why certain things occurred as they did. We are happy in every respect.
Very much enjoyed our day with Kerstin! She clearly enjoys what she does and had us engaged in our day in the first few minutes. In our conversations she mentioned many books and movies that were relevant and took the time to e-mail me after the fact so that I could check them out. We'd tour with Kerstin again!
