Hi, I'm Natalie, a history nerd and former architect now working as a full-time tour guide in Berlin. After working as an architect in Australia for several years I decided to take a break one summer to explore Berlin, and I never left. My goal: My goal as your guide is to bring Berlin's history to life and show you new ways of seeing the city. I combine historical storytelling with architecture, because I believe that history is written in the buildings, and I hope to inspire you to love Berlin as much as I do! What I offer: I'm always out exploring Berlin, looking for new galleries, cafes, buildings and memorials, so put on your comfiest shoes and let's explore together! I specialise in history and architecture tours, and also offer tours to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and Potsdam. Tours for younger visitors: I welcome visitors of all ages on my tours and have crafted a family-friendly tour of Berlin, designed to keep everyone engaged, whether you're 8 or 80. Making Berlin's complex and occasionally difficult history accessible to everyone is important to me, and a private family tour offers plenty of opportunities to ask all your questions. Why book a tour with me? All tours are 100% customisable. Got questions? Ask them! On a private tour you'll have my full attention and support. A digital map with curated recommendations for other things to see and do in Berlin after the tour. Walking or private car tours.

Join me (Natalie), a fully licensed tour guide, a guided tour around Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp – one of the most important concentration camps from the Nazi regime. On this experience you will learn about the role Sachsenhausen played in supporting the Nazi regime, explore the grounds and gain essential insights into WWII and the Holocaust. During the tour, I’ll take you through the different parts of the concentration camp, talking you through the daily routines of the prisoners, who was imprisoned there, the types of labour carried out, and the significance of the camp in the wider regime. You'll come away with a deeper understanding of the concentration camp system, and of Sachsenhausen in particular.

We will take the train to the town of Oranienburg (approximately 45 minutes) and then walk from the main station to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp (approximately 25 minutes). I will accompany you the whole way and also help you to purchase public transport tickets appropriate for your group. If you would like to book a private car to travel to and from the Camp please get in touch.
Berlin, Berlin, 13, Germany
I will meet you at your hotel (let me know where you are staying!), and we will travel together on the train to the Concentration Camp. At the end of the tour, I will also take you back to your hotel.
