As an historian of the arts, I would like to show you the most beautiful museums of Berlin. The Museum Island is housing 5 museums with very special exhibitons: among them is National Gallery for german and european arts, New Museum with the famous bust of Nefertiti and the Golden Hat, Bodemuseum with german and italien renaissance, Old Museum with ancient roman and greek art and and the recently built new entrance gallery designed by David Chipperfield. Pergamonmuseum is closed for several years. but in an special exhibition youu will get an overview panoramic impression of Pergamon and its buildings. (Pergamon Panorama) We will also talk about the Humoldtforum, a new building housing serveral museums of art and science.
Karen provided a terrific tour of the highlights of the Bode Museum and Neues Museum. With so many artifacts to view, it was very helpful to have a guide to bring us to specific exhibits and describe each so well. We recommend Karen as a guide at Museum Island.

Karen was excellent! She led us through the Neuses Museum in under 3 hours explaining exhibits after exhibits. Her knowledge on any subject was incredible! Plus her enthusiasm!! I can't imagine having a better experience and Karen was the reason.!!
Our tour of Museum Island with Karen was fantastic! She has great knowledge of art history and made sure to inform us of the history of the galleries as well as the art itself. Highly recommend her.
Karen was a wonderful guide and we spent a fantastic day with her. There is so much to see in one day. She took us to the best works in each museum, giving history and context for each piece/room. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the art/objects and made the tour special and informative both for me (an art history major) and my daughter, who knows very little about art. She was very sensitive about scheduling short breaks throughout the day. I highly recommend her.
