PS: Attention all travelers planning to visit Christ the Redeemer during their trip between August 2026 and May 2027. A major revitalization project in the area surrounding the monument has reduced visitor capacity by approximately 50%, resulting in significantly longer waiting times—even for visitors with a scheduled entry time. The completion of the service is estimated for May 2027. IMPACTS ON THE EXPERIENCE: · Visits to the Christ Monument have become much lengthier and are now taking 3.5 to 4 hours on regular days and up to 5 hours on busy days, even for those who have pre-purchased tickets online. · Visitors without reduced mobility should also be aware of the physical effort required for the route.
