Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. This was an outstanding tour. Olesya is a highly personable person to spend time with, and, an expert communicator of the sights of Versailles. Beyond that, she pointed to many hidden messages and meanings of the features and decor of the various rooms/wings of the palace. She really "filled in the blanks" of what was going on historically, politically, and artistically during those times. With our guide-based timed access we got through the interior of the palace in the standard time allowed for this tour, but due to our own time constraint to return to Paris, we only saw an overview of the gardens. Would recommend that guests consider adding additional time if the exterior views are important to you as well. She also was invaluable when the Metro ticket machine did not print all our tickets, as she worked with the Metro booth Agent and resolved the issue Highly Recommended!
Visiting Versailles with Olesya was a wonderful experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much! She explained things very thoroughly and really made the history of the period come to life. We gained a lot of perspective on French history and culture during our time with her. On top of the great education and seeing the sights, it was very enjoyable to spend time with her. We highly recommend a tour with Olesya!
Olesya was amazing! We had the best time at Versailles. First, to skip all of those lines - awesome. Olesya is incredibly knowledgeable, we learned what feels like everything about Versailles. We were appreciative she gave us all headsets so we could look around yet still hear all of the details she was providing, such a nice touch. Olesya is lovely, great with questions, great with our son - this is a not miss tour.

If you are more than 6 persons, contact me. I can arrange a bigger group. The Palace is closed on Mondays. Fountains are on starting April on Tuesdays and weekends.

You may take an Uber to get to Versailles. Alternatively, I can arrange a private chauffeur. The round-trip rate is €160, to be paid directly to the chauffeur. If you choose to take the train from Paris, we will meet directly in Versailles under the statue of Louis XIV on horseback, located right in front of the Château de Versailles.
