New Orleans isn't simply a place I show guests—it's a culture and community I want you to experience. Its history lives not only in its streets and architecture, but in its kitchens, cocktail glasses, music clubs, and the remarkable people who have shaped this city for more than three centuries. My goal is to connect those pieces so that when our time together ends, you don't just know more about New Orleans—you feel connected to it. My own background is almost as eclectic as New Orleans itself. Before becoming a full-time guide, I owned food trucks and cafés, operated catering businesses, developed specialty food products, worked as a musician and photographer, and created, wrote, produced, and starred in an award-winning culinary television series. I also spent years serving discerning clients in the luxury diamond and jewelry industry, where personalization, attention to detail, and exceptional service weren't extras—they were expected. I bring that same concierge mindset to every tour. I specialize in the historic heart of New Orleans and in the connections among its history, food, cocktails, architecture, and music. We might trace the cultures that created Creole cuisine, explore the stories behind Bananas Foster and the Sazerac, follow jazz from Congo Square to Storyville, or uncover the colorful personalities behind the city's legends. As a lifelong musician, I'm also happy to help guests find the music locals are listening to that evening. My tours are private, conversational, and fully customizable. I want you to feel relaxed and at home in this wonderful city. I guess I'm just a big ol' Easy. I also remain a resource throughout your stay. Need a restaurant, bar, museum, music recommendation, transportation, or an idea for the evening? Ask me. My goal isn't simply to show you New Orleans—it's to help you fall in love with it. If you leave feeling like you spent the day with an old friend who shared the city's stories, flavors, music, and hidden corners, I've done exactly what I set out to do.

Step into the mysterious history of absinthe—the legendary “Green Fairy” that inspired artists, alarmed reformers and became one of the world’s most misunderstood spirits. This private New Orleans experience begins in the French Quarter, where we'll explore the city's extraordinary cocktail history and enjoy one absinthe tasting at a historic location. You'll learn how absinthe rose to fame, why it was banned, and how it ultimately returned. Then we'll travel by Lyft to Atelier Vie for a private distillery visit and tasting. Meet the distiller, discover how small-batch spirits are made, and sample locally crafted absinthe along with a selection of other spirits. Part history tour, part cocktail experience and part behind-the-scenes distillery visit, this is an intimate look at a fascinating chapter of New Orleans drinking culture that most visitors never get to see.
We’ll meet in Jackson Square and begin with the story of New Orleans cocktail culture and the strange, colorful history of absinthe. We’ll visit one historic French Quarter location associated with the Green Fairy and enjoy one absinthe tasting while learning about its rituals, reputation, prohibition and revival. Next, we’ll leave the French Quarter by Lyft for Atelier Vie. There, you’ll get a closer look at how small-batch spirits are produced and enjoy a guided distillery tasting that may include locally made absinthe and other spirits. After the distillery experience, Lyft transportation will return you to your hotel or another convenient New Orleans location. Round-trip Lyft transportation between the French Quarter and Atelier Vie is included. This is a private, well-developed experience with time for questions and conversation.
