I am a Grammy Nominated New Orleans Jazz Musician and Historian. I came to New Orleans in my teens to study Jazz and History at the University of New Orleans. My sense of humor and appreciation for New Orleans is what people love about me. I've traveled the world as a working Jazz Saxophonist, but no matter what I am steeped in the New Orleans Culture. My tours can be completely customized for you especially if you are a music fan. Whether your interests may be the food, art, music, or just the history while in the Big Easy, I look forward to introducing you to the Gumbo we call New Orleans. - City Of New Orleans Tour Guide License Permit - Grammy Nomination in 2026 for Regional Roots Category - Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Orleans in Music History - Tulane University MPS Graduate Student - Managing Partner of Big Easy Walking Tours

New Orleans is one of America’s most famously haunted cities, and the French Quarter is where many of its darkest stories still live. On this private evening tour, I’ll guide you through more than 300 years of murder, mystery, voodoo, vampires, scandal, and unexplained encounters. We’ll begin near the Old U.S. Mint before exploring legendary sites including the LaLaurie Mansion, the home associated with the “Vampire” Count Saint-Germain, the Old Ursuline Convent, the Sultan’s Palace, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, and other haunted corners of the French Quarter. Because this is a private tour, the experience is personal and flexible. I can spend more time on the stories, places, and history that interest you most, answer your questions along the way, and adjust the pace for your group. If you want more than a scripted ghost walk, join me for a deeper, more personal journey into the darker side of New Orleans.

Dalvin gave the tour and did a remarkable job. Everyone in our group enjoyed his presentation.
Quay was fantastic and we had a wonderful time learning about New Orleans history and ghosts, voodoo, and vampires. Quay new many locals in the street, told great stories and recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner afterwards. I highly recommend Quay for tours and we’ll be taking another of his tours the next time we’re in town!
Quay lead us on a great tour of the dark side of NOLA. He utilized several stops at haunted taverns to tell dark stories during a break from the walking tours. We recommend Quay as a guide into the dark side of NOLA.
