Experience Frenchmen Street through the perspective of a Grammy-nominated New Orleans musician on a private evening devoted to live jazz, cocktails, and the city’s musical culture. Over three hours, I’ll take you beyond Bourbon Street to some of Frenchmen Street’s most celebrated music clubs and intimate venues. At each stop, we’ll spend time enjoying live bands, specialty cocktails, and the atmosphere that has made this neighborhood one of New Orleans’ most important nightlife destinations. Between venues, I’ll share the history of New Orleans jazz, the musicians and traditions that shaped the city’s sound, and how Frenchmen Street became a center for live music. Because this is a completely private tour, I can tailor the evening around your musical tastes and preferred pace. This is a private introduction to New Orleans nightlife, jazz, and musical culture from someone who is part of that world.

Your private evening begins near the Old U.S. Mint and Marigny, where I’ll introduce the history of New Orleans jazz and how Frenchmen Street became the city’s premier live-music district. From there, we’ll enjoy a specialty Louisiana cocktail and begin a curated tour of Frenchmen Street’s best music venues. Depending on the night’s schedule, we may visit Café Negril, The Spotted Cat, Snug Harbor, Favela Chic, Maison, BMC, or 30/90. Expect a mix of jazz, funk, blues, R&B, brass-band music, and other New Orleans sounds. Between clubs, I’ll share stories about the musicians, neighborhoods, and traditions that created jazz and continue to shape the city’s music today. When open, we can also visit the Frenchmen Art Bazaar.
