Being from Oʻahu, I’ve been lucky to hear firsthand stories passed down through generations—including accounts of the December 7, 1941, attack, as told by my grandfather who was on base that day. As a 4th-generation local raised in the legacy of the sugar industry, I offer unique insight into our island’s rich and isolated culture. This 5-hour Pearl Harbor and City Tour traces Hawaiʻi’s story from the early 19th century to statehood.
