My roots run deep—my family was part of the storied Hawaiian sugar industry, and my father, a U.S. Navy sailor, met my mother while stationed at Pearl Harbor. After serving as a submariner in the U.S. Navy myself, I went on to earn a degree in U.S. History with a focus on the Pacific region. Being from Oʻahu, I’ve been lucky to hear firsthand stories passed down through generations—including accounts of the December 7, 1941, attack, as told by my grandfather who was on base that day. As a passionate storyteller with over 7 years experience as a tour guide, I love sharing these powerful narratives with those eager to learn—whether we’re tracing the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor or exploring the hidden history along the North Shore. As a 4th-generation local raised in the legacy of the sugar industry, I offer unique insight into our island’s rich and isolated culture. This 5-hour Pearl Harbor and City Tour traces Hawaiʻi’s story from the early 19th century to statehood. This tour is an immersive blend of American and Hawaiian history through a local lens.
