Hello from Boston, I arrived here from Ireland over 30 years ago, and as soon as I got off the plane I knew I was here to stay. I'm a huge history buff, and love to hear and read about people. I'm lucky, I have a great memory for details, names and dates, and with a touch of the "blarney" am able to tell a good story. Content is key to being a private tour guide, and I've built up a wide range of stories. I have deep knowledge of Revolutionary War, and military history, but I know that's not for everybody and can go into as much or little detail as needed. There's so much more to the Boston area than history. . . . . architecture, ghost stories, Irish migration, movies scenes, sports and colleges to name a few and so over the years I just keep adding stories and fun facts to my content. Part of what brought me to Boston was to play music, so when I'm not playing, I'm probably out listening to music or having dinner and drinks somewhere in the city. This lets me keep current with what's happening around Boston and I've loads of recommendations to pass on of places to check out. Being a private tour guide is my ideal job, I love being around and talking to people, telling and listening to stories and having some laughs. I've a glass half full outlook on life and a good humored, easy going personality. I'm an approved and licensed city tour guide, do walking tours of the Freedom Trail in Boston and driving tours around the Greater Boston area. Please send me a message if you'd like help putting a tour together, I've done a lot of private customized tours and have lots of off the beaten path ideas. Look forward to touring with you. All the best Martin Fully licensed driving tour guide. Approved to conduct driving tours by Boston Transportation Dept & Boston Police Dept. Driving a livery insured vehicle. Also licensed to conduct walking tours. none

If you've always wanted to see Plymouth Rock, this 4 hour tour lets you check it off the bucket list. I'll pick you up in downtown Boston and travel 50 minutes directly to Plymouth. There we'll do a walking tour around the town, I'll share the history of the town, why the Pilgrims landed here and what they did to settle in the area. We'll stop at the rock itself and then give you time to board the Mayflower II to see for yourself how awful their journey must have been. Quick stop at an impressive monument, built to honor the Pilgrims and then it's back to Boston. Boston is 50 minutes drive from Plymouth, so you will be in the car a chunk of time on this tour. It gives us about 2 hours in Plymouth, so if you'd prefer longer or would like to see more of the area between Boston and Plymouth, check out my full day tour option.
