Hello! Briefly, about me: enjoy travel and outdoor activities- bicycling and sailing (if time allows it). My hobby is, first and foremost, taking care of my family and home. I enjoy reading and have always had an interest in history and the early years of the New England colonies and the United States. Licensed Tour Guide in Concord, Massachusetts. BA in Classical Studies and English Literature. I'm interested in the settlement of Massachusetts, Native American History, the colonization of America and the War of Independence. Boston features prominently in these periods of American History. Have started several small businesses since moving to Boston, and worked as a part-time tour guide in Salem, MA. I was employed by an embassy in Washington, D. C. for 4 years as a logistics person, transportation fleet manager, and driver. My experience includes working as an editor with an Epigraphy Journal: Epigraphic Society Occasional Publications, founded by Harvard Professor Barry Fell in 1976. The most memorable day as a tour guide in Salem involved stopping a spooked horse (Buck) while driving a horse-drawn carriage behind St. Peters Church on Brown Street. I conduct tours in Boston, Lexington, Concord, Plymouth and Salem. Tours of the Freedom Trail, Greater Boston and Cambridge, as well as all-day Newport, RI tours. I can provide special itineraries including a Coastal By-Ways Tour: -Gloucester/ Rockport, passing through Newburyport as far as Ogunquit, Maine. We can alter this according to your interests! Tours of the Pioneer Valley and the Mohawk Trail, and Autumn Foliage Tours. These are private car trips in Cadillac sedan, SUV, or the Mercedes Metris 7-passenger wagon. We provide Walking Tours of Beacon Hill and the Freedom Trail in Boston. The most enjoyable tours are when clients have a personal experience of Boston. I shape itineraries according to your interests. ·BA in Classical Studies and English Literature. ·4 years working for an Embassy as transportation fleet manager and driver. Business owner in Massachusetts. · Have conducted tours in Boston, Lexington, Concord, Plymouth, Salem, Newport, RI and Foliage Tours in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Overview of your Boston tour

Walk the Freedom Trail and experience, firsthand, Boston's historic buildings and locations related to the founding of the city and events leading to Independence: the Common, the Granary burial ground, Liberty Square, the Boston Massacre Site & Colony House, Faneuil Hall and Marshall Street. We'll cover the North End and Copp's Hill, with the option to cross the bridge to Charlestown and Breed's Hill. We'll round it up back in Beacon Hill ending at an agreed upon place. Many opportunities to pause, take photos, and see sites! People, for generations, worked and met here to plan actions that changed our world. Some of the names we know. Others aren't often remembered. We enjoy blessings derived from their dedication.

Curtis B. did a great job taking us through the Freedom Trail. He is extremely knowledgeable of the subject and had many great tidbits of information to add to tie everything together. My only issue was it was a 5 hour tour and we did not take a restroom/water/sit down break. We would tour again with Curtis B. when back in Boston. Kim K

If you want a tour and want to hear the history of Boston-Curtis is your guide. We walked 4 plus miles of the freedom trail and he knew everything that happened and dates, sizes of the armies. A true historian.

Outstanding knowledge, easy to work with. When we were getting tired he got his van and finished the tour by driving us.

Curtis is very knowledgeable about the history of not only Boston but also Concord and Lexington. I have been on the Freedom Trail previously but learned much more with Curtis.

Curtis was on time and suggested we meet at our hotel and included many things on the Freedom Trail as we walked to the Boston Common, the usual meeting spot for the tour. We were with our grandson who is not the most highly attentive 17 year old and also had a pretty good head cold. Curtis was very patient and was able to keep him engaged while also including interesting stories about the life and times in prerevolutionary Boston. We were only three which was nice as the price is for a group up to ten. We would highly recommend him for a family group.

Curtis was great and willing to change the plan to meet our needs. He was so knowledgeable about Boston and we learned so much.
