Hi! My name is Christian and I have been a tour guide here in Boston for more then 20 years. I first came to Boston as a college student where I studied History and Secondary Education at Boston College, one of the dozens of great universities in the Boston area. The first time I led tours was shortly after I graduated college and the job has become a passion of mine ever since. Showing visitors this amazing city is a true honor. Boston has so much to offer, from arts, to culture to architecture. And then of course there is the history! It would be difficult to find a city in America as rich in history as Boston. The true charm of Boston is the fact every where you turn history is staring you in the face. I love the words of William Faulkner, "The past is never dead. It's not even past. " That couldn't be more true than here in Boston. If you were to join me on one of my tours, you could expect to learn stories and see things that even the most experienced visitors to Boston would find new and amazing. I relish the opportunity to add fresh perspective and new insight to all those who take my tour. Attention to detail and client satisfaction are truly what make tours successful and memorable. I have an easy going personality and really enjoy making each tour unique and suited to the particular interests of the client. Whether it be history, shopping, pub crawling, pop culture, food or sports, you just let me know and I will use my vast tour guide experience to show you something new. Giving tours is like traveling the world without ever leaving home, and as much as I love my city and showing people it's amazing sights, the real joy of my job is making new friends. The personal interactions that develop during a private tour are really the reason I love this job. I am always open to make new friends and learn a thing or two myself. I hope you'll take one of my tours and we will have a chance to connect. Overview of your Boston tour

This driving tour of Boston will focus on the highlights of this historic and culturally significant city. The tour will cover all of the important neighborhoods in downtown Boston including the North End, Beacon Hill, Back Bay and Seaport District. With an emphasis on history, the tour will tell the stories of how Boston was founded by the Puritans in 1630, why the American Revolution began here in 1775 and what changed so dramatically about the landscape of the city in the 1800's. A clean, comfortable Honda Odyssey minivan will be used to conduct the tour, with many opportunities to stop and take pictures while getting out to see the sights. There is no better way to cover more of Boston in 3 hours then with this overview of city.

Sensitive to history and our personal preferences. Withtwo day's notice he secured a book I authored, and I signed it for him. Thoroughly delightful experience.

To imagine what Christian V. is like, think of “nicest guy in your neighborhood.” Christian’s got a way about him that makes you comfortable right away. He’s easy going, a very safe driver, and just fun to talk to! Plus, his enthusiasm and appreciation and incredible knowledge of Boston make touring the town with him such fun and so worthwhile. He knows so much about history – but he shares fun current details, too. We saw and learned so much in our three-hour tour with Christian. Left to our own devices of getting from place to place would have taken us five times as long and would have been tiring and frustrating. We saw the highlights of Boston – and learned so much about what we were looking at! What we really appreciated was that Christian was so flexible, and wanted to focus on showing us what we wanted to see. For instance, we told him we are not sports fans, so he didn’t take us to areas other people might really want to see. But! We did really want to see Harvard University even though we had no specific idea of what we wanted to see there. When we got to Harvard, Christian asked us if we wanted to walk around a bit and we said a hearty yes (we were rested!). He parked the car (how did he know where a place would be?) and we and Christian strolled to the famous Harvard Yard. Christian knew so much about it, including life on campus, famous structures, notables who had studied there, and so much more. We so appreciate that we got to see so much. Best of all, it was with a nice and knowledgeable person. We highly recommend Christian!

Christian was really good. His knowledge of Boston, both historic and contemporary, was wonderful. He also personalized the tour so far as to try to drive and search for an apartment my wife had lived in during a summer 50 years ago. Highly recommend him.

Great service! Christian provided top notch service. Very personable and accommodating. He knows his city’s history and you can feel the enthusiasm he has sharing that knowledge. He picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel and even brought us to a restaurant he recommended at the end of the tour when our flight changed on us last minute. Loved our tour and I, along with my husband, Mother in law and her sister all really like him! We had just an overnight trip before heading to Europe and this was the perfect tour for a layover!

Christian was the perfect guide for our tour of Boston. He kept in contact with us prior to, and on the day of our tour. He safely navigated traffic while telling us about the history of Boston and more. His knowledge was impressive and kept us interested and engaged through the entire tour. We highly recommend Christian to anyone wanting an interesting, informative, and entertaining tour.

Christian is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Boston, Lexington and Concord area and the American Revolution. Could not stump him with the many questions! Very personable and patient and a pleasure to be around. You can tell he really enjoys his job as we spent two days on his tours. Highly recommend!!
