Greetings Prospective Guests, I am Lucia, a seasoned tour guide and commercial driver. I have been guiding trolley and bus tours throughout Greater Boston and New England as well as special destinations since 2012. I am always delighted to meet people from all over the US and abroad. I have an excellent safety record and maintain a friendly rapport with my guests. In my experience as a tour guide, I have received numerous customer accolades for safety, courtesy, and entertainment value. I am a native of Boston and sharing the interesting and fun aspects of my area is very rewarding to me. Boston is a city repleat with history. As our nation's birthplace, there is so much to share about the details of the Revolution, and the changing culture over time. We also explore the beautiful New England Coastline and the mansions of Newport RI, highlighting the opulence of the Gilded Age. I am currently offering guided tours by mini-van for groups up to 7, (5 window seats are available). We can explore Boston together for our Highlights tour which runs about 2 1/2 hours, enjoy an extended 4-1/2 hour tour of Boston, or visit the Glided Age Mansions, and Winery Tour of Newport. In addition, I am running the Holiday Mansions Tour running from November 19 through January 1. Custom overnight and day trips can be made available, just ask. And remember. . . ski season is coming soon! Some recent online reviews: "Review of: Boston to Newport . . . I thoroughly enjoyed all the destinations and the tour itself, it was a very educative experience in which a lot of knowledge was gained, the tour guide Lucia was extremely kind and friendly. I only wish to would have had more time to fully enjoy and appreciate the experience as a whole. " Date of experience: October 2022 Trip type: Traveled with family "Review of: Boston to Coastal Maine & Kennebunkport . . . I took two tours with . . . . , one to Kennebunkport and one to Newport. Both trips were exceptional. I had Lucia as the guide for both. The first trip to Kennebunkport went off without a hitch. Everything ran smoothly and we were back in at a reasonable time. The trip to Newport had more hiccups, but not on the fault of the guide, all on other guests who couldn't keep times (and didn't seem to care). Lucia handled like the best of any tour guide. I couldn't recommend this company and Lucia more!" "Boston to Newport Day Trip . . . The trip was very well timed and organized. Our guide and driver, Lucia, provided many interesting details about sites along the way as well as history of Newport and owners of the mansions. We felt very safe with her as she negotiated traffic, and she was very patient and courteous about a health issue my husband encountered on the trip. The mansions themselves are icons of the Gilded Age with furnishings and décor that rival the finest palaces in Europe. This tour is well worth the money. Imagine what it must have been like to live in pre-Revolutionary Boston in the 1700's, or how you would survive in the new world when the Puritans and Pilgrims settled in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Puritans arrived here in 1630. Their aim was to set up a society that would live according to "God's will". Anyone who stepped out of line was jailed, banished or worse. My maternal grandmother, Lucia, immigrated into Boston from Italy in the early 1900's and told stories of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919. I get nostalgic walking through Boston's Italian North End as I smell the aromas of garlic and basil, or pass by while fresh baked goods are being brought from the oven.
Your tour will inlclude drive by the following sites and will include narration and occasional stops: Travel through the Italian North End and Historic sites along the Freedom Trail including: • Paul Revere's House • Old North Church • USS Constitution • Bunker Hill Monument • Old South Meeting House • Boston Tea Party Ships • Old State House • Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market • Massachusetts State Capitol Building • Granary Burial Ground • Cheers Bar • Public Gardens • Fenway Park • TD Garden (home of the Celtics and Bruins) All my tours can be customized upon request
