Welcome! My name is Benito. I am Spanish; born in Tarragona, a city of great cultural interest founded in Roman times, and I grew up in Valencia, where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Art History. In 2014, I moved to Finland, where I lived for eight years. During my stay in the Nordic country, I had time to obtain my bus driver's license, Finnish nationality, and the title of official guide, allowing me to develop my work both in Helsinki and Valencia. I have always been passionate about art, architecture, geography, and history, as well as the curious events of life. For that reason, I chose to work as a guide, since it is a job that brings together all my passions. I have been working as a tour guide since 2020, first in Helsinki and now in Valencia since 2022. I would be happy to show you this beautiful city. If you have any special requests, the tour can be adapted to your expectations. As I already mentioned, Valencia is the place where I grew up. Its extensive gastronomy, charming streets in the city center, the amalgamation of cultures that have shaped it since its foundation in 138 B.C., its beaches, and its more than 300 sunny days make the terraces fill with people enjoying drinks or food, giving the city a bustling and dynamic character that makes it a perfect place to spend the holidays. The guided tours I provide are safe, I continuously encourage interactions so that travellers feel comfortable asking any questions that may arise. Our paths would be either on foot or by bicycle whenever possible, minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, all our routes will be complemented with curiosities, anecdotes, and additional information about all the remarkable things we encounter along the way. I assure you that you will leave with a greater understanding of the city, the country, the culture, and its people. Are you ready to discover Valencia? Let’s go! 2020 - Certificate in Professional Qualification in Guiding Services - Perho Business School, Helsinki, Finland 2011 - Five-year Degree in Art History - Universidad de Valencia, Spain

Modernism developed throughout much of Europe, and Valencia was no exception. The city showcased its own unique characteristics, reflecting the prosperity of the Valencian bourgeoisie, particularly in its architecture. On this tour we'll visit the Colón Market, one of the most vibrant and engaging leisure centers in Valencia, and stroll down Calle de la Paz, where Valencian modernism is on full display. This entire area is lined with fashionable boutiques & bars that once served as gathering places for the intellectuals of the time. We'll also explore the Valencian shopping district, plus you'll get to immerse yourself in the colors, flavors, and aromas of the Central Market. We'll pass by Town Hall Square as well, eventually arriving at the North Station, which is notable for its luxurious Art Deco reception. Let’s wander through the streets and enjoy this vibrant city full of life!
Our usual Itinerary (subject to changes due to weather conditions, holidays, and events) would be as follows: ·Firstly, we will meet at the main entrance of Mercado de Colón. ·From there, we'll proceed to La Paz Street, one of the finest examples of Valencian Modernism and a vibrant shopping area. ·Afterwards, we'll reach Market Square, where we'll be able to dive into Valencia's commercial district, which dates back to Muslim times, surrounded bythe Central Market (Europe's largest fresh produce market), the Silk Market and the Parish Church of Santos Juanes. ·Our next stop will be at Plaza del Ayuntamiento (City Hall Square), a beautiful example of eclectic architecture. ·The last stop will be at Estación del Norte (Railway Station), known for its stunning Modernist and Art Deco hall. This itinerary can be customized to your preferences upon request. If you need any further changes, just let me know!
