The best memories of a trip rarely come from simply ticking landmarks off a list. They come from understanding the people, the traditions and the little details that give a place its character. That's the Valencia I love sharing with my travellers. For more than 18 years, I've been welcoming visitors from around the world as an Official Licensed Guide of the Region of Valencia. Every tour I design is tailored to the interests, pace and curiosity of the people I'm travelling with, because I believe no two travellers experience a destination in the same way. I was born in Valencia to a Chilean family, and growing up between different cultures sparked a lifelong curiosity about languages, travel and the way people connect with places. Living in countries such as Belgium, Ireland, England, Germany, Uruguay and Taiwan gave me the opportunity to see destinations through the eyes of international travellers while remaining deeply connected to my hometown. My tours are relaxed, conversational and highly personalised. I don't believe in memorised speeches or rushing from one monument to another. Instead, I enjoy bringing together history, architecture, gastronomy, local traditions and everyday life to help visitors understand not only what they are seeing, but why Valencia has become one of Spain's most fascinating cities. Wine is another way I love telling the story of my region. As a Diploma WSET wine professional and certified sommelier, I often use wine to explain Valencia's landscapes, history and culture. Whether we're exploring the historic centre, visiting the Central Market or discovering the vineyards of Utiel-Requena, wine becomes another window into understanding the identity of this land. During the pandemic, when welcoming travellers was no longer possible, I wrote a practical guide to Valencia to help visitors discover the city like a local. Writing that book reinforced something I've always believed: every destination has stories worth sharing, and the best journeys are those that help us connect with a place beyond its famous landmarks. Above all, I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and creating experiences that feel personal, engaging and authentic. Some of my favourite moments as a guide come when travellers tell me they no longer feel like visitors, but like they've spent the day discovering Valencia with a local friend. If you're looking for more than a sightseeing tour—if you'd like to understand Valencia through its history, culture, gastronomy and the stories that bring it to life—I would be delighted to welcome you and share my city with you.

Valencia is a city best understood by walking its streets, listening to its stories and sharing its food. This private experience has been designed for travellers who want more than a sightseeing tour. Together we'll explore Valencia's historic centre, from its Roman origins to its magnificent Gothic, Baroque and Modernist landmarks. As we stroll through lively squares, hidden corners and the vibrant Central Market, I'll share the stories, traditions and everyday customs that have shaped the city's unique identity. The experience ends in one of my carefully selected local restaurants, where we'll enjoy an authentic Valencian lunch centred around the region's most iconic dish: paella. I'll explain what makes a true Valencian paella different, its origins, the local ingredients and why it remains such an important part of our culture. Experience Valencia through its history, gastronomy and the local traditions that make it so special—all at a relaxed pace and fully adapted to your interests.
Your private tour begins with hotel pick-up in Valencia city centre or at a convenient meeting point. We'll explore the city's historic heart at a relaxed pace, discovering many of Valencia's most iconic landmarks, including: North Train Station Bullring Town Hall Square Palace of the Marqués de Dos Aguas Cathedral and Plaza de la Reina Basilica and Plaza de la Virgen Silk Exchange (UNESCO World Heritage Site) Central Market, with time to browse its colourful stalls Throughout the walk I'll share the history, local traditions and everyday life that make Valencia such a fascinating city. We'll then continue to one of my favourite local restaurants, where we'll enjoy a selection of traditional Valencian starters followed by an authentic Valencian paella. Lunch is never just a meal—it's an essential part of our culture, and I'll explain the traditions, ingredients and etiquette that surround our most celebrated dish. As this is a private tour, the itinerary can always be adapted to your interests and pace.
