I develop my job as a private licensed tour guide in Valencia, Alicante and Cartagena this marvellous piece of land bathed by the sun, watered by palm trees and full of history. Bachelored in Art of History and after have travelled all around the world, I feel heir of the Mediterranean traditions; our history, gastronomy, art and festivals. In 45min panoramic drive from Valencia you will get to the Roman city of Sagunto for discovering the Roman Theatre, arqueological museum and old jewish neighborhood. You will have time to swim in the deep Roman history of "Saguntum". Once we visit Sagunto, we will drive back to Valencia for exploring the City of Arts and Sciences. A futuristic area designed by Santiago Calatrava born in Valencia. By a panoramic drive we will get to the Valencia city center and the surroundings. We really enjoyed and appreciated your extensive knowledge of the area, your taking us off the beaten track and exploring the Sagunta Castle and ruins, a historically fascinating adventure for anyone up for a hike - made all the more rewarding with a local stop afterwards for refreshments! Jorge was knowledgeable about the geography and history of Valencia and Sagunto. He avoided congested areas and took us to a fabulous restaurant for fresh paella. He was excellent.
Jorge was a wonderful tour guide, friendly, interesting and informative, with an obvious pride in his city and his of Catalonia. He gave us a comprehensive, but not overwhelming, overview of the area, including the countryside, the City of Arts and Sciences and the old town, where he introduced us to local artisans, afforded plenty to time to explore the beautiful market, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at one of Jorege's favorite restaurants. We hope to visit again, and highly recommend Jorge as a guide.
