Hi, my name is Ariadna. In love with History, Art and good cuisine, I arrived to this beautiful city we've got on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville. Being ambitious, I have always set myself goals and it motivates me to work hard. I have achieved my goals so far with my training, education and work experience, so I'm more than prepared to keep sharing all my knowledge with everyone who decides to come and visit this lovely city. Seville is one of the most interesting cities in Spain. It has a rich History and one of the biggest old towns, full of World Heritage sites declared by UNESCO; such as the Cathedral, the Royal Alcazar, the Archive of Indies. Places we can visit together since as a professionally qualified Tour Guide I'm allowed to guide everywhere that guiding is permitted. So you cannot miss it! Although Seville not only is History, but also has the legacy of the three great religions since in this city were living together Christians, Muslims and the Jewish Community. So still today, walking through the narrow alleys we can appreciate different remains that transport us to that century, to that way of life. 15th and 16th centuries gave to this city even more importance due to the Port of the Indies situated next to the Gold Tower at the Guadalquivir River. After Christopher Columbus arrived to American soil, most of the gold, silver and precious stones that later on arrived to Spain, would come first to this city, to this port; since the "House of Trade" founded in 1503 by the Catholic Monarchs had its seat in Seville. So this centuries were very important in order to give wealth to the city. 17th century was also important to Seville, but in this case, not owing to economical richness but because of the most influencial artists as painters and sculptors belongs to this century. In this city you can find everything you're looking for! And I haven't even mentioned the food! Simply fantastic! Antique Markets, pubs, bars, parks, magnificent hotels where having a lovely tea. . . Do not hesitate! Come and let's explore! - Degree in Business and Tourist Activities (2008) - Master's Degree In Education, specialized in Tourism (2012) - Certificate in Art History: Renaissance and Baroque Painting. - Official Tourist Guide License in Andalusia and Canary Islands. No restrictions at all. Being an official tour guide with license I´m allowed to guide inside all the Historical Monuments.

Overview of your Seville tour

NEW WORLD vs. INQUISITION The 15th Century and specially in 1478, the Royal Inquisition was instituted in Castile due to the papal bull of Sixtus IV with the purpose of fighting against the Jewish practices of the new-converts. In contrast to the previous Inquisitions, it operated completely under Royal Christian authority, ruled by Clergy and orders, independently of the Holy See. It operated in Spain and in all Spanish colonies and territories, which included the Canary Islands, the Spanish Netherlands, the Kingdom of Naples, and all Spanish possessions in North, Central and South America. It primarily targeted forced converts from Islam and Judaism - both groups still resided in Spain after the end of the Islamic Control- who came under suspicion of continuing practicing their old religion or having fallen back into it. I'll show you hidden corners related to inquisition in town that people is not able to discover on their own! You'll walk down the same alley as the damned . . .
