Córdoba Private Excursion from Seville

I have taken over 20 tours by local and this is first time I am giving a review like this. I feel compelled. Alvaro is passionate and has expertise and for that I give him five stars. He accommodated my wife's mobility issues the best he could. This brings me to bad point. When we got o Mosque he said he had the tickets and that his friend would have to be our guide in the mosque in Cordoba. Nothing was mentioned about additional costs for his friend prior to the actual trip and not even on the way there. It was a sudden announcement and description says guide services are included. Even at mosque he did not say there would be costs for his friend.At very end, when we arrived at our hotel, he said tickets were not included, which I knew and then after giving me cost he added that neither were services for his friend and said there would be extra 74 euro charge. I knew the ticket price for seniors was 12 euros each, which means he added 50 Euros for his friend's services. As explained, this was never mentioned before the drop off and should have been included in trip details or at least clarified prior to booking or at least from the start. It was not. My experience has been guides have told us to buy tickets. Even when he mentioned he bought tickets and his friend would guide us nothing was mentioned regarding extra fee and I assumed he was taking care of costs since he could not provide services. Rather than argue I simply paid and it was lucky I had 75 euros in cash on me. I say this so next person who books will not be surprised and he should change his detail page. The point is not the cost but manner in which it was handled, which left bad taste. I should mention his friend was excellent and probably would not have objected if told up front and 75 is in normal range for hour in mosque

Alvaro is excellent. He educated and entertained us. We booked Alvaro for three tours: a walking tour of the highlights of Sevilla, a day trip to Cordoba, and a day trip to white hill villages. Each time I came away with a greater appreciation for the history and culture of Andalusia, thanks to Alvaro’s narratives. Fantastic tour of Cordoba! Alvaro picked us up from our hotel and was a fantastic driver. His car was super comfortable for our family, and he spoke about the towns we were passing along the drive. Alvaro was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Seville and Cordoba. He brought the history and culture to life and showed us beautiful spots we never would have found on our own. He provided amazing food recommendations. Alvaro went above and beyond; he made our tour enjoyable and made us feel like locals! Found great snacks and bathrooms along the way. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience Cordoba!

I have nothing but great things to say about tours with Alvaro. We did 3 different days with him and they were all outstanding. Alvaro is very knowledgeable and professional as attested by all the information we received. You can also tell that he is very proud of being from Sevilla and having a great knowledge of the area in general. His English is very good and he has a great demeanor. Would highly recommend him to anyone else thinking about using him for any tours.

5 stars are not enough for the wonderful tour we had with Alvaro. Perfectly customized to suit our interests. One of the best tours we have ever had.
