Hola Traveller! My name is Lorena and I am very sure that by the end of the tour of Seville, you will be captivated not only by its history and heritage but also by its character. After finishing my studies I lived in the north of England for a couple of years to improve my English and when I started to miss the sunshine, mum's Sunday stew and, ultimately, my people, I moved back. I got my official guide licence in Andalucía in 2018. I really love my job and enjoy showing my city and its customs, as well as learning something new not only from books but also from every visitor who shares their hours with me. Let me show you the charms of this fabulous city and its inhabitants. It is not only about wandering around listening to historical information, but about immersing oneself in the life of the Sevillians. Escape the clichés and enjoy the full experience with a local. Overview of your Seville tour
Seville is a city of undeniable historical and artistic value, with three monuments declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO: Cathedral, Alcazar and General Archive of Indies. In this tour we will discover two of them. The Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, the largest Gothic Catholic temple in the world. The ecclesiastical authorities of the time said: “let's make a temple so big that those who see it will think we are crazy”. In it we'll find not only Chistopher Colombus tomb, but also vestiges of the Muslim past of the city. Then we'll go to the Real Alcazar, the oldest royal palace in use in Europe. During its more than ten centuries of history many kings have spent their days there, creating an architectural complex blending different periods and styles.
