Hola Traveller! My name is Lorena and I am very sure that by the end of the tour of Seville, you will be captivated not only by its history and heritage but also by its character. Not surprisingly, many people who come here for a period to study or work never leave, they get caught by its charms, don't tell me I didn't warn you. As for me, I will show you its secrets, history, culture and gastronomy, because if there is one thing we can boast about in Seville, it is knowing how to enjoy life. Talking about me, since I was a child I was always very interested in languages so I thought about studying English language and literature. Fortunately, I realised in time that being a guide was my destiny, so I decided to study tourism. I could walk, chat and meet new people every day. After finishing my studies I lived in the north of England for a couple of years to improve my English and when I started to miss the sunshine, mum's Sunday stew and, ultimately, my people, I moved back. I got my official guide licence in Andalucía in 2018. I really love my job and enjoy showing my city and its customs, as well as learning something new not only from books but also from every visitor who shares their hours with me. Let me show you the charms of this fabulous city and its inhabitants. It is not only about wandering around listening to historical information, but about immersing oneself in the life of the Sevillians. Escape the clichés and enjoy the full experience with a local. It goes without saying that If you don't find any tour that suits you in my inventory, I'll be pleased to create a tailor-made tour according to your preferences and interests.

Overview of your Seville tour

Seville is a city of undeniable historical and artistic value, with three monuments declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO: Cathedral, Alcazar and General Archive of Indies. In this tour we will discover two of them. The Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, the largest Gothic Catholic temple in the world. The ecclesiastical authorities of the time said: “let's make a temple so big that those who see it will think we are crazy”. In it we'll find not only Chistopher Colombus tomb, but also vestiges of the Muslim past of the city. Then we'll go to the Real Alcazar, the oldest royal palace in use in Europe. During its more than ten centuries of history many kings have spent their days there, creating an architectural complex blending different periods and styles. This is a suggested itinerary, I can customize this tour according to your requests. *VERY IMPORTANT Tickets are nominative, please provide full name, passport number and date of birth when booking.

I highly recommend asking for Lorena and taking this most spectacular tour of Seville Spain! Truly, this place stole our heart; and Lorena made the history and the architecture all come together painting a clear picture story. Our best tour of Spain and already I can’t wait to go back and do more!!!

Seville is a wonderful place to visit, full stop. It’s a vibrant town replete with all kinds of history, architecture, and culture. Not to mention the food, the people, and their traditions. A family with small children can go to Seville and simply enjoy an urban space that offers something for everyone. All that to say that you can visit it and enjoy it on the surface. However, its true value is in its ability to capture the imagination, and provide a tangible, accessible experience that will enrich your understanding of human history for the last 1500 years. By all means, visit Seville for the sights, but there’s so much to learn and consider for the rest of us who are trying to understand the human story deep into the past to get a sense of why we are where we are now, and, just as importantly, where are we headed. We visited Seville and Granada because these two cities continue to “speak” to each other about the rich history that links Spain to the early “Muslim World” and eventually to the “New World”. We wanted our 15 yo to get a sense of the people and the historical forces that form these places to this day. We find that there’s no better way to access a little of the history and culture of a place than with the aid of a local guide who can link it all up with sensitivity, inquisitiveness, humour, and ability to adapt a tour to her clients’ needs. Lorena is gregarious, knowledgeable, and proud of her city’s historical and cultural significance. She knows the sites like the back of her hand, and seemed to know every gatekeeper personally. We enjoyed our tour with her, learned a lot, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a safe pair of hands, who knows the sites and history to go with it. Thank you, Lorena!

We’ve not had a better guide than Lorena. Extremely knowlegeable in history, eras and building methods, showing us details in the creation of the tiles, woodworking, stained glass and painting. She had photographs as well as images of the former architecture quickly on her phone to demonstrate to us. As we were with Lorena over Semana Santa, she shared cultural background and the “how to” of carrying the Passos , the meaning of the clothing , and how the Brotherhoods work.Lorena contacted us to arrange our private transportation and gave us tips on authentic restaurants; very important! She expresses herself extraordinarily well and has a delightful laugh!
