Kaixo! I am Joseba a young euskaldun (Basque speaking person, wrongly translated in to Basque) born and raised in Bilbao. I am an official tour guide in the Basque region and my aim is to get you close to our beautiful land and culture. My career began as an environmental technician, which gave me a great knowledge about our superb nature. But 7 years ago, I decide to move to Berlin and there I found a job that fits in with my skills and preferences: guiding people on their journeys. Since then, I've lived in four countries and guided hundreds of travellers in different parts of the world, until I decide to come back to my beloved Bilbao, three years ago. As a guide, I am a really proactive, serious and passionate one. I am all the time trying to improve my skills and knowledge, always curious about history, folklore and cultural aspects of societies. All my tours can be given in the five languages I speak: Basque, Spanish, English, German and Italian. With all this experience I want to invite you to discover the Basque Country from close, getting in touch with the local people, their tradition and culture, as the surrounding enchanted nature. My way of working could be easily described in two words: Slow Tourism. Come to visit with me the charming Basque Country, you won't regret! ONGI ETORRI! -Degree in Environmental Science in 2008. -Professional guide in the Basque Country, running my own responsible tourism company with all the permissions and insurances. -Experience as a guide in different countries: four years as a bike tour guide in Berlin and three years as a walking and bike guide in the Basque Country. -Certified titles for several languages: Advanced Certified in English by Cambridge University (C1), B2 in Deustch bei Goethe Institut and E.G.A. (basque language's highest degree). Not allowed to drive with more than 8 people. If you are a larger group, let me know and a bigger vehicle with driver would be arranged.

Overview of your San Sebastian tour
If you need to go from San Sebastian to Bilbao (or the other way) and you don't want to miss anything on your way, this is your tour. Discover the lovely fishermen's village of Getaria, birth place of Juan Sebastian Elcano (first captain to circumnavigate around the glove) and Cristobal Balenziaga (world renowned dress-maker). After that we will drive to Zumaia, where you will discover its beautiful nature and seascapes. Understand why Games of Thrones or the last film of Woody Allen were filmed here! After leaving the province of Gipuzkoa, you will have the opportunity to discover the most known Basque town: Guernica. This town, bomb by the Nazis in the Spanish Civil War, is much more than a town for the Basque people and its culture. Want to discover why?

He took us on two tours, both of which were impacted by bad weather, but he effortlessly addressed those issues and accommodated our multiple requests for mid-tour changes. Your San Sebastian tour itinerary
We will meet in San Sebastian (remember, the tour could be also done from Bilbao to San Sebastian). From there in about half an hour we will arrive to Getaria and visit this charming town on foot. After more or less an hour visit we will head to Zumaia and discover the bautiful cliffs of the Basque coast. Then we will drive to Guernica and explore the town on foot for about 90 minutes. The tour will end at an accorded place in Bilbao (airport, hotel, cruise-ship terminal…)
