I was born in San Sebastian, Basque Country, I'm a person who loves travelling and sharing my experiences with people. I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. After travelling around the world in my last big trip, during 14 months, I'm even more prepared to guide you along the Basque Country and surroundings. I am a private local Basque guide and have a long experience guiding people along the Basque Country, over 15 years, in areas specially around San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Vitoria as well as the French-Basque Country and the famous Rioja Wine region. As well as I travel abroad often, I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristic ones, but to the off-the-track ones too. Always adding some of my little stories and anecdotes of each place making the journey more enjoyable and unique. Living in a place with a food-culture like us, it adds an extra value to my tours, being a member of a Gastronomy Club(famous sociedad gastronómica) in San Sebastian as I am. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Biscay's coast like a local. After so many years of being a private tour guide in the Basque Country, I know which ones are the best places to see, the icons of this area. But I also know those secret spots that are off-the-beaten-track for visitors, but that we love. Places where we locals go, live and enjoy our life. Why with me? I won't take you to toursty places, but to amazing beautiful ones! Unique experience along the Basque Coast, visiting Bermeo or Lekeitio, fishermen towns, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe historic church on top of the rock island, Game of Thrones site!, where only some can ask for the "wish". Stop to admire Urdaibai protected natural reserve, take amazing pictures of Bakio beach and taste the famous "txakoli" local wine. Do you really want to feel like a local? This is your tour!
Our private tour of Basque country with Iker was an absolute pleasure! He was punctual, knowledgeable, and personable! He shared his own insights to the Basque culture and listened graciously when we shared ours. We were the benefits of his "foodie" background and thoroughly enjoyed the pintxos and wine he suggested. Then there was the scenery. Wow!!! The tour exceeded our expectations on every level. We highly recommend it!
We learned a lot about the Basque people and history from our guide, Iker. He took us to Gernika, Bermeo, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, and Bakio. We had lunch by the sea. He was very accommodating and interesting - answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable. Would gladly do another tour with him.

Iker is an excellent guide. The Basque Country is beautiful and picturesque. The Biscay tour was excellent and well worth doing. Iker is personable and knowledgeable. Proud of his Basque heritage, he wants to share it with his clients. His interests include history, cooking and nature and he incorporates his knowledge into his tours. Iker was prompt and attentive. He suggested adaptations based on opportunities and weather conditions. We came away with a deepened sense of the Basque heritage.
Iker gave us a tour of the coast from San Sebastian to Bilbao. He was extremely knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects -- local history, geology, plants, animals, and food -- and was flexible and relaxing. It was a pleasure spending the day with him. We recommend him highly.
Iker was a fabulous guide. He took us to the most interesting and quaint fishing villages along the stunning coast line. His knowledge was incredible with regards to each area and the history of the Basque Region. His English is perfect . We had the most enjoyable day with Iker.
