Highlights of the Basque Country: multiday private tour

We spent 4 great days with Iker, touring the Basque Country. The tour was a perfect mix of history, culture, sightseeing, food and wine. And most importantly, fun! We knew we were in good hands with a warm and receptive guide when he joined us for a round of bumper car driving as the first event. If you are looking for a guide that is knowledgeable, patient and interested in making you feel welcome, we highly recommend Iker.

My group of six personal, childhood friends had a wonderful two days in the Basque area of Spain despite cold, rainy, blustery weather. Our guide, Iker, blew away the clouds with his extremely knowledgeable and friendly manner as he provided an excellent overview tour of Bilbao and the Guggenheim as well as making his "home town" of San Sebastián thoroughly welcoming and enjoyable for our two overnights. I cannot imagine that there could be anyone who could provide more enjoyment for Basque touring.

Iker knows so many interesting things not just about Spain but all over the world which was impressive. He was sensitive to the group dynamics and made necessary changes to the agenda when required. He knows food and trust me when i say he can recommend a restaurant it is the truth he knows where to eat. I enjoyed being shown his cooking club and the explanations around culture and food. The history of the Basque region was something i knew nothing about and i was amazed at how long it has existed.

Nuestra experiencia con Iker fue fabulosa! Durante nuestra estadía en San Sebastián hicimos cuatro tours con él. Siempre puntual y pendiente de todo para que pudiéramos disfrutar al máximo. Los tours a los pueblitos y ciudades del País Vasco francés y español estuvieron excelentes. Igualmente bueno fue su tour en San Sebastián, teniendo la experiencia de disfrutar los bares de pinxos como si fuéramos locales. Recomendamos a Iker en un 100% y sin reservas!

I absolutely could not recommend him more highly for anyone! Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and makes the most of each moment of the tour but moreover he is genuine, caring, and especially intuitive at giving and pacing the tour per the client. It really does feel both equally like high quality professional touring while at the same time like you're just being taken in as one of the locals by one of the locals. He's just simply a natural at his job. Exceptionally charming tours and guide!
