Kaixo! Hello! I'm a lucky guy born and bred in San Sebastian. I feel massively passionate about my city and I'll never lose my enthusiasm for exploring the Basque country and having the chance to share my favourite parts with you. The Basque Country is so special with it's unique food & wine scene. It's a huge part of my life with an ongoing interest & study of wines and I've been a member of one of the famous cooking societies for the last 20 years . Living here it's impossible to escape the rich culinary culture. The Great Outdoors is my other passion and as famous as San Sebastian is for the food the countryside and mountains are not to be overlooked. With a hugely unique and wide variety of hikes and trails. From coastal tracks, incredible old woodland and striking peaks. I'm extremely well travelled and have a fantastic understanding of how it is to be a tourist here and what makes a tour that extra special. Originally from a corporate background I know the right kind of professional and execute a high standard of tour on all levels. Maintaining a fun, friendly and relaxed vibe with one goal, that you have a fantastic, memorable day out. Since 2016 I have loved being a tour guide and look forward to more adventures, Hope to see you in San Sebastian very soon. Sixty million years ago two tectonic plates crashed together making the Basque Coastline, now it's one of the best places on the planet to read the history of the earth. From the water's edge we'll wind our way over the greenest of valleys, through meadows blanketed with wild flowers and over incredible cliffs. This historic route is not only part of the St James Way / Camino de Santiago but also the back drop of the "Game of Thrones". Definitely a hike to remember that really shows the true spirit of the Basque Country.
• A 30 minutes drive out of San Sebastian to reach the cliffs in between Deba and Zumaia. We will park the vehicle on top of the cliffs and start going down to sea level crossing amazing medows, pine tree forests and cow lands before arriving to the sea, where you could sea layers and layers of history of planet earth entering the water. • A quick stop to take some pictures, have a snack and a swim if you are brave! • Depending of your level we could go back the same way or make it a bit more challenging and climb to the top of Endata look out, a rope set up by local surfers will make you feel more safe. Views from this point are breathtaking. • Back at the starting point there is a picnic area where we could have a snack before heading the road back to San Sebastian. You will need a good pair of walking shoes and confortable clothing. This hike can be customized depending the level of the group, remember is private and the goal is always to enjoy it!
