I am a native of the Basque Country and since 2015, I am dedicated to making people who visit us happy, while enjoying our history, culture, sports and gastronomy, in the most local, sustainable and healthy way possible. I am not, the typical traditional tour guide, that they don't stop talking and only show you, the commercial touristic places. My goal is to be your local friend, to you can enjoy, the real lifestyle of the Basques and to can show you, what it is away from the tourist masses, where you will not arrive in your own. With me, you will not only see places, you will experiment like locals we like to do. So, you will be a lucky visitor, instead of being one tourist more. But I will be, just a person who will introduce you to this little paradise hidden in the world, for which I am more and more in love, because this land, people and culture they are unique in the world. The Basque Country is a magical place, where the mountain mixed with the sea gave the opportunity for one of the oldest civilization in the world, to still alive today, preserving its original language, and some of the most important traditions and customs. Overview of your San Sebastian tour
We will start the day shopping, and enjoying with the local gastronomical life, in the market and the most original shops of Donostia / San Sebastian, while we taste different foods, we even have breakfast, so you must come hungry. Then, we will enter in a very special place for Basques, where you will enjoy and learn by cooking together, one of ours most delicious menus (starters, main course and dessert). While we cook, we will also make 2 traditional pintxos, to eat them in the moment, help with one of ours typical local wine. Once we have the food ready, we will go to play a little, our most native sport, the hand ball and have a drink in a classic tavern, to enjoy the atmosphere of the street. Before, returning to enjoy eating the full menu. After eating the menu we will continue with coffee and a typical local liquor and you can enjoy the moment quietly, until you want. . .
Your San Sebastian tour itinerary
We will enjoy the cooking experience in a private gastronomic society and these are an important element of social life in the Basque country. However, they are private, and you have to be with, or invited by, a member. Mingle, cook and talk, all while enjoying a good wine and flavorful food, which in turn helps you understand that the real parties take place in the Basque kitchen, located in the Basque gastronomic societies.
