I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. Join me in this private tour visiting San Sebastian and Biarritz, considered the most beautiful cities along both sides of French and Spanish part of the coast in the Basque country. Why with me? Iker is AMAZING!!! We gave him insights into what we were looking to do/see and he arranged a day that was perfect. Iker historical and local knowledge of Donostia was so impactful and made a beautiful location more interesting. We will be back to visit and will definitely plan to spend more time with Iker!
Tour extraordinaire! Iker is awesome! He is so friendly and knowledgeable! He took us to Biarritz, explaining so many details of the history and town. He modified our itinerary on the spot to give us a more enriched experience and took us to a beautiful, quaint fishing village/medieval town, Hondarriaba. Perfect day with a terrific guide.
Our ship couldn't dock at Biarritz for our San Sebastian trip so I contacted Iker a day before our tour to see what we could do. He quickly got back to me and proposed a trip to the Biscay Coastline, visiting small villages. It was one of the best tours we did on our vacation. Iker is personable and knowledgeable. He clearly loves the area. And he introduced us to txakoli - now our favorite wine! We highly recommend any tour with Iker.
We did this the day after arriving. It was a perfect way to get to know the city, and figure out what we wanted to do the rest of our visit. Iker was fantastic!!! He is unbelievably knowledgeable and personable. He will teach you not only about the history of the city in terms of facts, but also the context about what those facts/events mean to the culture and people of the area. And he will make sure you know where to eat, drink and avoid during your visit. He is the best!!!!
Iker was the perfect guide for us. We had different interest points - from economics to history to gastronomy - and he was very knowledgeable on all topics. He also went out of his way to help us retrieve our luggage that the airline left behind in Madrid. Towards the end of the tour, he even brought us to try some pintxos, which we all loved!!!! We're definitely coming back to San Sebastian and will ask Iker to be our guide.
