Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia. After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time. After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide. Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid. Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children. Additionally, I also worked in the past as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places. Madrid Official Guide Licence Nº 850. Official Tour Guide License for Toledo Cathedral and Monuments. Official Licensed guide in Avila, Segovia and El Escorial. Graduated in Tourism by University Autonoma of Madrid. ETOA Tour Leader Licence in Europe. I am a driver but I do not have a license to take customers. However, I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. I can also drive my own vehicle and meet you in the destination.

Toledo, once the Imperial capital of Spain, was inscribed as a UNESCO's heritage site in 1986. This iconic town is one of the most popular and visited in Spain and one of my favourite to show to you as I'm love with this town since I was a child. Their streets have witnessed the succession of great events of our history, from being a Roman municipality, the capital of the Visigoth Kingdom, one of the seats of 'Al Andalus' Moorish period, a major cultural centre during the Medieval ages, where the existence of three major religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam was a major factor, and also the Imperial Capital during Charles I kingdom. Doubtless, a worldwide renown gem! During our tour I will tell you a bit of the history but also some entertaining legends and stories behind its walls; we will learn about its culture, handicrafts and most popular food; I will take you to my favourite corners; we will step back in time and compare how the city has arrived almost intact to our days.
- We will leave Madrid and drive to Toledo (1 hour approx. ) - Upon arrival to Toledo, we would start with a scenic drive following the course of river "Tajo", and will stop to see the panoramic view of the city. - We will start walking and exploring the old Jewish Quarter. I will be describing some other monuments, traditions, culture, explaining about handicrafts, food, etc. We will visit 3 important monuments: - Old synagogue of "St Mary La Blanca" - St Tomé church to see El Greco's masterpiece: "The Burial of Lord Orgaz" - Toledo's Primate Cathedral, the most important in Spain. (*On Sundays Toledo Cathedral cannot be visited in the mornings, only from 2pm to 6pm) - We will continue discovering Toledo's labyrinth streets and before going back to Madrid, you will have some free time for buying souvenirs or having a drink. - We will make our way back to Madrid. *I have selected some of the major landmarks, however, I'm flexible to include some other you may be interested.
