The Prado Museum and the elegant old Madrid

My favorite area in town, and actually the district I live in! At the onset of the visit we'll get lost among the masterpieces of the Prado Museum, one of the world's great repositories of Western art. We will discover the private collection of the Spanish monarchs, those paintings saved from a somewhat eerie fire, made by the great masters of antiquity. They are works full of symbolism and hidden meanings. We will then walk through the most important park in Madrid, full of anecdotes and curiosities. It was first a private park for the monarchy, which subsequently opened its doors only to those who dressed elegantly. Today, owned by Madrid City Council, it has one of the few public prominent sculptures in the world dedicated to the devil itself. To complete a full experience, we will visit the elegant and modern areas of Madrid: Salamanca and Salesas, full of trendy restaurants and stores
