Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia. After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time. After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide. Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid. Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children. Additionally, I also worked in the past as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places. Madrid Official Guide Licence Nº 850. Official Tour Guide License for Toledo Cathedral and Monuments. Official Licensed guide in Avila, Segovia and El Escorial. Graduated in Tourism by University Autonoma of Madrid. ETOA Tour Leader Licence in Europe. I am a driver but I do not have a license to take customers. However, I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. I can also drive my own vehicle and meet you in the destination.

What about living a local experience and get to know a bit more about our food culture? Do you want to see how local people live in Madrid? Are you curious to know where madrileños shop and what eating 'tapas' is like? Then this tour is for you! A local walking tour around the old downtown neighborhoods of Huertas, Lavapies & La Latina. Learning their history, visiting traditional taverns, food markets & trying different Spanish food samples and drinks. I have created this beautiful experience combining a bit of history and culture about the past and present of some of the most traditional and renown quarters in Madrid. I have selected some traditional taverns, bars, bakeries, cafes and markets to give you a full Food & Drink experience and have a glimpse about how "Madrilenian" culture is. *This tour does not operate on Sundays, Public Holidays & Saturdays evenings as the Markets are closed.
- We will start the tour with a bit of history and a sweet sample. Depending on your hotel location and starting time we will start from one area or the other. - I have selected a great variety of local taverns, food markets, groceries, bars and some traditional cafés where we can try some local sweets. - We will walk around Huertas quarter, also known as the Letters bohemian district. - We will cross and have a glimpse of Lavapies trendy neighborhood. - We will cover La Latina old town and will finish in Madrid city centre. - You will have the chance to try some cheese, ham, olives, croquettes, calamari, churros and more local food, and of course, some typical drinks such vermouth, wine or beer. * If you have a particular food or drink you will like to try, let me know. Although I have selected my own vendors I can always adjust customers preferences and dietary needs. *I can also arrange and tailor shorter tour versions: "Tapas & drinks", "Food Markets" or "Vermouth & Tortilla" options.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
