Hola. Mi name is Alfonso. I am a passionate 32 years old guide from Madrid. I have been guiding for almost 7 years all over Spain and Portugal , giving different kinds of tours as both a local guide and tour leader. I have studied business and tourism and I have been professional athlete. WHY AM I GUIDING? Since I was a kid I have always loved knowing new places. I enjoy improvising within those new cities and discovering new places along the way. I am curious about everything. I consider myself to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, good listener, deep and open minded person. I am a people person. I love getting to know new people and learning from them. I love to travel anywhere and anyway. I have lived in Germany and I have worked and studied abroad in many different locations. When I had a surgery on my hip I had to stop playing sports and start from scratch. I began thinking "what do I like and what do I do well?". My friends would always ask me things like: Where should we go for dinner? Would you come with me to the Prado Museum ? Alfonso, How do we get to this place or that? I have always been interested in history, gastronomy and art : the roots of any place culture. The way we the humans interact with the environment. When thinking about my hobbies and these facts about myself I decided that guiding could be something that could appeal to me. Luckily for me, it worked out. Being a tour-guide is a lot being like a student. I am always studying new things, preparing new activities for the tours and learning from people I meet. I started guiding in the tricky city centre of Madrid and afterwords in other cities, museums, palaces etc. In my tours I love to show the real deal of the places we visit, to have local experiences and if possible to interact with locals. I don't like to ignore controversial topics. To go often off the beaten truck. I invite you to do a tour with me , I would be more than happy showing you my city. Overview of your Madrid tour
This experience not only is a great chance to visit a "must see" but also is special because we will take the High-speed train which is totally green and attain a speed up to 250 kmph = 155. 3 mph When I travel I enjoy using local means of transportation in order to have a closer experience to the locals way of life, as well as to know more about the countries. That's why I like to find out more about their infraestructures. Thus, I am proud of offering a tour which involves sustainability, local experience and sightseeing. Let's not forget that Segovia has been designated world heritage town by Unesco because beyond its pre-Roman background , Segovia preserves one of the best Roman aqueducts in the world, an outstanding Cathedral and fairytale Castle .
Your Madrid tour itinerary
-Meeting point at Chamartín Train Station main entry. -Train ride: Madrid - Segovia , 30 mins. -Two hours Guided tour in Segovia: It will consist in a walking tour from the Aqueduct to the Castle. We will see the Aqueduct, la Canaleja, Casa de los Picos, Plaza de Medina del Campo and Plaza Mayor. We will enter the Cathedral and the Castle. Admission fees to visit the Castle are included. We can pay the Cathedral on site 4€ each -Train ride: Segovia - Madrid 30 mins Do not hesitate to contact me if there is something you would like to change or add. I can also provide you with reservations in any restaurant since Segovia is well-known for it cousine. If you want to stay on your own for the rest of the day I can also purchase late train tickets for you. From the train station to the old town we will either take the bus or a taxi. (10 minutes)
