Let me introduce myself. My name is Susana and I've been guiding in Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, and Avila for over twenty years now as a full-time activity, and. . . . here I am, still on stage. Overview of your Madrid tour
Let's start our tour with the Royal Palace, where the history of Madrid begins, the second biggest in the world! We can see the different Royal Apartments with a luxurious collection of art, from Chinese porcelain to Moser cristal, French chandeliers and Italian sculptures from the XVII century, Flemish Gobelins from the XVI and Spanish silver. Better! look at the pictures I made. After that, we will know from the origins of Madrid to the XVIII century and after a small break, we will continue exploring the Old City of Madrid and its evolution from the XI century until it became the main headquarters of the Spanish Empire in the XVI. You will feel satisfied and as an expert by the end of the tour, and . . . . don't forget your camera! We can make many interesting pictures.
Your Madrid tour itinerary
Plaza de Oriente and Royal Palace, tour inside. Short break. From the Royal Palace towards the Main Square of Madrid (Plaza Mayor) through the maze of streets of the Old City and its History. Once you make the booking, you MUST BUY the Royal Palace tickets at Patrimonio Nacional website. I will send link once the booking is made. One thing, as the Royal Palace is a Government Building, it can close on short notice; in that case, I will let you know in advance. We will still get there and give you all the necessary explanations about the origins of Madrid in the area.
