My tour was to visit the UNESCO village of Curenca. Georgi was a great guide - he picked me up in his luxury sedan, arriving in Cuenca quickly. He shared some general Spanish history of the area and also asked me questions, so that he could customize this tour as he judged my interests. Georgi was easy to understand and follow .One surprise was this area was never ruled by the Arabs. No Moorish influence in the architecture. Our tour began at the top of the hill took a path down into the city center. Georgi continued to tailor the tour to my desires. We crossed the foot bridge so that we could cross over to the Paradore that was originally the home of the tax man. The views back to Cuenca were worth crossing that high foot bridge. A great thank-you for Georgi as he shared this part of Spain with me. When I come back, I would reach out again to see more of this area.

We hired Georgi for the day to go to Cuenca. He arrived promptly in a Mercedes sedan and provided the smoothest ride we ever had. Cuenca is a charming perched village on a steep gorge with a fantastic view. We went to the church, walked across a suspension bridge, had lunch at the Parador, and went to a modern art museum, which was a highlight. He made the art come alive. All along the way Georgi provided expert, insightful, and occasionally humorous commentary. We highly recommend him as a guide.
