Madrid’s Hidden History: Walking Tour of the Habsburgs

We wanted a tour to gain a better understanding of Madrid’s history, its role in Spain’s development and the current political landscape (there were protests around housing while we were in town). This is a lot to ask and Fernando delivered on all fronts. As important as his comprehensive knowledge and storytelling, his ability to find hidden streets and quieter passageways helped us to gain a better appreciation of Madrid’s neighborhoods without being engulfed in the larger, busier touristy streets. He is an excellent guide.

What a great way to start our vacation in Madrid! This was the perfect tour to start our first time in Madrid and Fernando was the perfect guide to do it. Fernando has a passion for Madrid that comes out as he guided us around Madrid. It was a great experience to walk around and learn about the different areas and landmarks.
