Madrid Tapas, History and Taverns Private Tour

Gonzalo was amazing! His knowledge of Spanish history was impressive and his way of explaining it kept us engaged. He explained the many cultural influences in Madrid and throughout Spain and showed us architectural examples throughout the city. What a wealth of knowledge Gonzalo is! The last part of the tour found us in a few local establishments tasting local favorites - and we were hooked! Gonzalo chose the perfect mix of food and drinks to give us a taste of local Madrid. The conversation never stopped during our entire tour, Gonzalo was a wonderful guide!

We had a great evening with Gonzalo. We only had two days to spend in Madrid and he was very helpful and responsive to any questions that we had. The tour had just the right mix of history, beautiful views and delicious food tastings. Our group really enjoyed the local food and drinks. Gonzalo arrived at our meeting place promptly and we (5 adults) had the most enlightening and interesting 4 hours. He had a plan and we saw so much of old Madrid. He was a wealth of information told in a really pleasant and fun manner. We had tapas and drinks in 3 places, all were excellent . We took his suggestions and thoroughly enjoyed it all. We definitely developed a real rapport with Gonzalo - he answered our many questions - and obviously his knowledge base is deep and wide. He gladly shared information on how to best spend the next few days in Madrid and beyond. We laughed a fair amount and all 5 of us voted this the best evening. Thank you Gonzalo very much. Gonzalo provided us with an excellent tour during our Stay in Madrid! He is very knowledgeable of the city and its history, took us to 3 very authentic tapas experiences, and even offered to meet us at the entrance to our hotel!
