Let me introduce myself. My name is Susana and I've been guiding in Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, and Avila for over twenty years now as a full-time activity, and. . . . here I am, still on stage. I am happy to say that I have done over 500 tours only with ToursByLocals during the last 9 years. This hasn't been my only job ever, I have been teaching languages since. . . always, as this is the family business, and I got to know the tourism industry since I was very young as it was my early passion. Hotels, airlines, tour director. . . All these experiences have made me a very versatile person, which helps a lot with my actual activity. For six years I have been the Chairman of the Madrid Tourist Guide Association, which shows my compromise with and faith in this profession which I find absolutely wonderful, as it is so to be able to share with my guests, my friends, all the magnificent heritage that surrounds me. I find so much satisfaction in seeing how you are delighted with your holiday choice that it encourages me, even more, to make more and more research to share it all with you. I have fun doing what I do as a living and that is the reason why you will have fun too. Who says that museums or history are boring? Our museums in Madrid hide so many treasures that you will long to come back as soon as possible to continue getting to know them. . . with me!? That would be fantastic. The R. Palace of Madrid is the Official Residence of the Spanish Royal Family. It has 135,000 m2 (1,450,0002 ft) of floor space and contains 3,418 rooms. It’s the largest functioning royal palace and one of the largest by floor area in Europe But this could be the least important thing about it. I want to tell u about the Spanish Monarchy, its origins, why the Royal Palace is in its current location, and its relationship with Madrid’s origins. How many palaces have there been on the same spot over the last 1000 years? Why? It was completed on the '60s of the 18th century when the young United States began fighting the English Crown (with Spain’s help), and Australia was officially discovered! Join me to discover this magnificent building and some of its legends ATT: As an official building, it could close on short notice for the Head of State's reasons. In that case, the perfect substitute will be the nearby Gallery of Royal Collections
Plaza de Oriente square, outside the Royal Palace. Before going through the metal detector at the entrance, we must let our personal belongings through the X-ray machine for security reasons. Apart from being a Museum, it is an official building that receives the King, ambassadors, and many official receptions. Security first. We'll go inside the Royal Palace square and official chambers: the King's apartments, the Throne Room, and the Porcelain chamber, among many others, where the tourist visit co-exists with the use of the Royal Palace by the Spanish authorities when needed. After booking, you'll get the right link for getting the Palace tickets If we have time left, we'll go for a walk around the area, either Gardens or Old City Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour Larger parties contact me.

Walking If a wheelchair is needed, assistance to carry it around must be provided by the wheelchair user.
