Madrid Flamenco Tour: Historical roots and live performance show!

Caroline guided us through a charming flamenco adventure for my wife and me and our two granddaughters (ages 10 and 11). She began with a walking tour of the neighborhoods while describing the cultures and history that created flamenco. Caroline kept the girls engaged and encouraged questions. We learned about the music and training behind the performances before watching a live show. Caroline had selected excellent seats for us and continued to explain subtle features of the dance during breaks in the performance. It was a great experience and fun for all of us. Would highly recommend for everyone.

I appreciate that Caroline checked in via email when we arrived in Madrid. With our tour, she was prompt and a comfortable companion. We started with light refreshment in the local neighborhood while she explained our evening’s activity. Then, she led us to a dance school’s halls as well as shops for flamenco shoes and instruments. Lastly, we had excellent seats for the performance at Tablao Villa Rosa with a glass of sangria. It was an exceptional cultural experience for my 67th birthday. A bonus: She recommended Maty where my husband purchased better ballroom dance shoes than he purchased in the USA.

Caroline was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She walked us around the Flamenco neighborhood, even giving us a tour of an actual Flamenco school. The Flamenco show she booked for our group of 8 was an amazing way to end the night. Every dancer was so intense and full of energy. The musicians were equally as talented, too. I would highly recommend Caroline to any group interested in Flamenco.
