The museum is divided into two parts: the Habsburgs and the Bourbons, the two dynasties that ruled Spain for centuries. -In the first gallery, we will see how the Central European Habsburg dynasty arrived in the Kingdom of Spain and understand how Spain became an empire that dominated the world during its Golden Age. -We will discover works by masters such as Bernini, Titian, Velázquez, Caravaggio and the paintress Lavinia Fontana, and an incredible collection of jewelry, carriages, books, and tapestries. -Afterward, we will go down to the second gallery. It is dedicated to the Bourbons, who arrived in Spain in the 18th century. We will see works by Goya and Mengs, as well as ivory carvings, marble sculptures, musical instruments, and Chinese porcelain. Then you can stay at the museum freely if you still have time or energy.
