Hi Everyone! My name is Adam, I'm originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina but now I can identify as a citizen of the world. At age 22, I decided to move to Ireland for an experience abroad and ended up staying for two years. This is where I met my wife, Luciana, with whom I moved back to Argentina first, then a year to Australia, and then back to Ireland for 3 more years. Now we have been in Madrid since January 2020 with no further plans to relocate! Our family grew with the arrival of our Madrileño son, and we are delighted with the city. Thanks to this small 'nomad' life in the last 10 years I've got the chance to do tours in different places around the world. I have a tourism degree and my first job was as a travel agent in Buenos Aires. In my first year in Dublin (2011) I started as a Tour Guide and I fell in love with the profession. I continued guiding in Buenos Aires, then I worked in the tourist information office in Sydney, Australia, and back guiding in Ireland. Since I came to Madrid I have worked as an information officer and a tour guide as well. My favorite tour is the Historic Madrid Tour where we will see the biggest Royal Palace in Western Europe, an Arabic wall of more than 1000 years, medieval alleys, and the great Plaza Mayor among other great sights of the city. I have different pre-set tours but I'm always keen to be open to suggestions or changes depending on your desire. If you are interested in a particular theme or period I can focus the tours on whatever you are looking for in Madrid. My set tours are on a walking basis but if you need private transportation we can arrange that as well. Tourism Degree from La Suisse CEPEC School (Argentina). Worked as a Travel Agent and tour Guide in Buenos Aires. Worked as a Tour Guide in Dublin. Worked as a Tourist Information Officer in Sydney, Australia & Madrid, Spain. Official Tour Guide License by the Government Aragon, Spain. This grants me access and the availability to guide inside the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, and other museums and tourist attractions in the city of Madrid. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

On this tour, I'll provide you a historical introduction on the creation of the Spanish Empire and its development, whose power during the 1600s and 1700s is clearly shown in this part of Madrid. At the famous Puerta de Alcalá, I'll tell you why the indecision of the King resulted in the creation of a special design of the main gate of Madrid. As we enjoy strolling through beautiful Parque del Retiro, which is a former Royal Palace, I'll tell you how the palace was destroyed and why it was used for a grotesque 'Human Zoo' exhibition. I'll also tell you the funny story of when someone destroyed the famous statue at the top of the Cibeles Fountain, and how the statues of 2 great lions at the entrance of the Parliament were built using materials from the war in Morocco. Further in our tour, we'll marvel at the great Paseo del Prado and we will wrap up our time together in the main shopping and theatre street in the city, the famous Gran Via. The following itinerary could be customized upon request:
-We'll start at Puerta de Alcalá, the most famous gate of Madrid, one of the icons of the city. -Then we'll explore the most beautiful park, 'Parque del Retiro', a former Royal Palace and gardens. -Next, we'll pass over Barrio de los Jeronimos to see the remains of the old Retiro Palace and the Iglesia de los Jeronimos, which is one of the oldest ones in town. -We'll continue towards the Museo del Prado, one of the finest art galleries in the world (a visit inside the Museo del Prado is not included, though). -Next, we'll see the National Parliament, the most crucial political building in modern Spain. -We'll then walk the world's oldest promenade surrounded by trees, the 'Paseo del Prado'. -At the end of the Paseo del Prado we will see the iconic 'Fuente de Cibeles' with the most gorgeous building of the 20th century in Madrid, the Palacio de Cibeles. -Our very last stop will be in Gran Vía, the main avenue in the city known as the Broadway of Spain.
