Hola, welcome to Madrid! My name is Mariluz and I am a fully licensed professional guide of Madrid, Toledo, Avila and Segovia. I am graduated in Tourism (University of Zaragoza) and an expert of Spanish History and Art. I am also graduated in Economics (University of Zaragoza) and in Foreign Languages at the University of Poitiers, France. After some years travelling within Europe guiding groups from Spain and America, I decided to become Local Guide of Madrid, the city that adopted me more than 26 years ago! I love Madrid. I guide in all the most important museums in Madrid and I have the License to guide inside all the Monuments that are part of the National Trust or Heritage (Patrimonio Nacional), like the Royal Palace in Madrid. Overview of your Madrid tour
This tour is essential if you love paintings, but even if you think that you do not like them, I am pretty sure that you will not regret this experience. This happened to me before, people who told me that they just wanted half an hour at Prado Museum (they wanted to go shopping instead!) and they remained much longer and happy. Paintings come to live and will tell us stories you would never have realized without a professional guide like me. I love paintings and paint myself when I have time to (2020 was perfect to go back to painting!) . The Prado Museum is famous all around the world because it houses the best collection of paintings by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Titian, Rubens and El Bosco. Most of the paintings exhibited are master pieces and sometimes it is difficult to chose which one to explain! But I'll take care of that;) After visiting the Prado Museum, we'll reach the contemporary picture gallery "Reina Sofia" and explain in detail the "Guernica" by Picasso and paintings by Miro and Dalí

Mariluz was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. She does what a good tour guide does. She guides you thru the collections in the most efficient manner, hitting all the major pieces, the secondary supporting pieces and explains the relationship between the artist, the work and the world that they inhabited and how the artist grew and changed over time. We were taken on a journey thru the artistic lives of the Spanish masters, the patrons who supported them and the life of the paintings. Highly recommend.

Place 1 -Prado Museum (1. 5h guided tour) Place 2 -Walking through Paseo del Prado towards"Reina Sofia Museum". 15 minutes. Break for a quick coffe to recharge batteries ! Place 3 -Reina Sofia Museum: Guernica by Picasso and some other works by Joan Miró.
