Hi! My name is Luis David, and I was born in Madrid, the city I love. Since I was a child, I have always been interested in learning more about the Spanish capital, because I think that the history and the art of our city are amazing! That is why I decided to study the Degree in Tourism, and when I finished it, I studied the high-level Technical Degree in Tour Guide, where I learnt more about the culture from Madrid. Nowadays, I am a fully licensed professional guide, and I love my job more than anything: I can not only show my beautiful city, but also meet amazing people from all around the world. I love explaining museums such as Prado Museum (I am a big fan of Velázquez), and all the "must see" spots in Madrid… but I also enjoy showing the secret places of my city, those places that not everybody knows. Anecdotes, legends… and everything you need to know about our city, also about the gastronomy and the Tapas culture of this town! Contact me and book an unforgettable experience. See you soon! -Official Guide License in Spain -Degree of Tourist Guide (College of Tourism and Gastronomy. Madrid) -Tourism Degree (Rey Juan Carlos University, Fuenlabrada - Madrid) I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

It is a fact that the Prado Museum is one of the most famous art galleries in the world. Do you want to know why? Join me at this tour and let me help you to understand it!! Since I was a kid, I have always loved the Prado Museum. This is one of the reasons I decided to become an official guide. Even if art is not your cup of tea or you are not very familiarized with Spanish painters, you will be delighted by the Prado and will recognize many of the paintings you can find there. Firstly, we will discover the main streets and monuments of the oldest area of Madrid (the surroundings of the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol. . . ) and then, we will visit the main art gallery in Spain, where we will see the masterpieces by El Greco, Velázquez or Goya, learn about their importance and know about some anecdotes that you will not find on the books. Let me show you this beautiful city and its cultural heart, let me show you the Prado!!

David was fantastic - perfectly planned tour that ended at the Prado where he beautifully tied together all of the sites we had seen and the history he had covered. He also made sure to leave time to stop for snacks and a little shopping, which was much appreciated.
David is an exceptional tour guide if you’re planning a visit to the Prado Museum. David weaves Spain’s rich history with the stories behind some of the museum’s most celebrated works. His ability to “teach art” is excellent for all levels of art understandings. David focused the tour on specific works instead of attempting to cover the entire museum which made for an un-rushed, better experience, in our opinion (2 adults and a teenager). David has a gift for placing each work in its broader context, showing how they reflect the political, social, and cultural climate of their time.
Our tour with David was exceptional. There were seven of us (four adults and three teens) and despite the brutal Madrid heat we had a wonderful time! David gave us a crash course in Spanish history, took us to several major sites in Madrid and finished with an amazing lecture on several famous Spanish artists and their work at the Prado. Even the teenagers were intrigued! He tied the artistic portions of the tour seamlessly into the historical material and presented it all clearly - it was the best kind of class! Highly recommend David and his walking tour of Madrid!
David (Louis) was fantastic. Very passionate about Madrid and all that it has to offer. Very patient. Very knowledgeable. We will try to hook up with him again when we return.
David was a terrific tour guide. His knowledge of Spanish history and link it to the City sights and then to the guided tour through the Prado. It couldn't have been any better. I would give him a 10/5!
