Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia. After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time. After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide. Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid. Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children. Additionally, I also worked in the past as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places. Were you aware of the existence of the numerous underground Caves, Wineries and the denomination of origin wines of Madrid? It's time to get to know our villages, our culture, our wines & vineyards. I'm very proud to show you the town where I live. If you want to know more and have a good time, join me in this unique and authentic local tour just 30 kilometres from Madrid! I have created this tour to offer you a cultural ecotourism experience while learning about the history, architecture, traditions and caves of the small and charming village of Navalcarnero, in a rural and familiar environment. Then, it'll follow, a guided visit to one of the most outstanding wineries in Madrid region where we will have a wine tasting and where we'll visit the vineyards and the countryside. A great day full of anecdotes, entertainment and good wines for you to know the most emblematic corners of the Madrid Region
Your Madrid tour itinerary
-The tour will start in Madrid where our driver will pick you up and transfer to Navalcarnero, only 30 km away (around 35 min drive) -We will have around 70 min cultural walking tour to learn about the squares, village traditions, caves, old houses, markets, etc. -After, we will be transferred to the vineyards and admire the countryside, see the environment and understand how they grow the grapes and the different local varieties. - At the end we will visit one of the local wineries, where we will have a look to the underground caves, see the wine fermentation process and taste some local wines with chesse. This would be around 4 hours experience. -After the visit, lunch can be arranged in the village to try the local gastronomy in one of the traditional restaurants. Lunch time in Spain can last up to 2 hours. -After lunch we will drive back to Madrid, approximately 35 min drive back to your hotel The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour
