Let us visit the region of Castilla y León (Castile and León) together! You will be able to enjoy the Old City of Salamanca which has the third oldest university in the world! You can still breathe the past students' history on the old streets! After Ávila you will visit the best fortified city in the past of Spain, which has fully preserved its wall. This is one of the main reasons why some movies such as Kingdom of Heaven, Conan the Barbarian or Flesh and Blood were shot here. Also, the city claims to have the first Gothic cathedral in Spain and the first bullfightings were performed here but why? All this will be revealed to you! Shall we go?
We have never seen a more passionate and knowledgeable guide than Georgi, he literally went “above and beyond” to make sure the tour was informative and enjoyable. Georgi did not disappoint and was actually the best part of the tour. We had very good rapport with Georgi that it will be him who we will look for when we come back to Madrid. It was a pleasure to go with Georgi again. He was prompt and waiting in our lobby. He was generous with his time and supplies. (He had bottled water in the vehicle.) He is the only guide who offers to take multiple photos of us with the sights. I question if it was wise to visit Lis Museo Art Nouveau Y Art Deco in Salamanca. In hindsight, I would have preferred to visit the Avila cathedral since the winter day is short. However, we did see Avila with night lighting on the walls as we drove away in the evening darkness.
Susana, was great! She is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly. We enjoyed our day visiting Segovia and Avila. Stunning views with many breath taking sites. A must do. We were a family of six adults traveling from the United States.
We had a wonderful time on this tour with our knowledgeable and fun guide. George was friendly, smart, full of information and easygoing while we strolled the streets of Avila and Salamanca getting to know these two lovely and very different cities. He was a pleasure to spend time with.
