Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia. After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time. After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide. Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid. Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children. Additionally, I also worked in the past as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places. This was the second tour we took with Beatriz and once again everything was superb. She certainly knows her art history and showed us and explained to us some of the major works in the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. The Prado is huge and she knew exactly where to go and how to get there. The same at Reina Sofia. Would highly recommend her.

Bea is a terrifically knowledgeable guide who has a deep understanding of the various movements housed in the Prado and also insight how to scurry around the museum to avoid crowds. We had 2 teens --one interested and one not--and she 'read the room' and used various techniques to engage them. Her genuine interest and passion for art and Spain came through--she was a delight to learn from. Easy to communicate and a joy to be with. Do it!
